Something New is Tucked Away in Winchcombe
Some houses just have a feeling about them. The kind where you walk through the door and instantly know they have stories to tell and a personality all of their own. That was exactly how we felt when we first stepped into our newest cottage in Winchcombe. Within minutes, we knew it had to become part of the Tucked Away collection.
Why We Love Winchcombe (And Why You Probably Will Too)
Guests often ask what makes Winchcombe so special — and it’s surprisingly hard to answer in just a sentence. It isn’t just the beautiful buildings, or the history, or even the countryside that wraps itself around the town. It’s the feeling you get here. Life moves a little slower, people have time for a chat, and after a day or two you find yourself switching pace without even noticing. Mornings begin quietly — the sound of footsteps along stone pavements, shop doors opening, coffee being poured somewhere nearby. By afternoon, walkers drift through town, and evenings settle into a calm that feels increasingly rare. For us, it captures everything we love about the Cotswolds — relaxed, creative and quietly charming, without ever feeling overdone. And somehow, despite feeling wonderfully tucked away, you’re only a short drive from the energy of Cheltenham’s festival scene.

What our guests have said
"Lovely stay and this beautiful property. The Interior was spotless and the rear garden being secure meant we could relax knowing that our dog could not escape. The end of the garden got full sun but the lower terrace provided shade if needed. The decor, soft furnishings and mood lighting inside sets this property apart from many others."
"A lovely cottage in a perfect location. Winchcombe is great as a base to explore the area and big enough to be entertaining on its own. The cottage is in a location where you can walk everywhere so the car stays at home. It is beautifully furnished and decorated an every appliance you could wish for is there. Really loved staying there and would definitely go back"
"We had a lovely and peaceful stay at the Cottage. You get the charming stone house on the outside, and a warm and tastefully decorated inside; perfect! We were able to explore the nearby area on foot (met some cows), and the Cottage is in a very convenient location to reach other villages and things to do and see. It was exactly the vacation we were looking for."
