The Cotswolds

Discover the Cotswolds
Tucked away in South Central England, the Cotswolds is 800 glorious square miles of honey-coloured stone villages, rolling hills, vibrant market towns and historical buildings. Whether you’re wandering through for the first time or returning for your umpteenth visit, the Cotswolds is a little corner of England you’ll never quite forget where you can do as much, or as little, as you like.
Covering Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Worcestershire and Warwickshire the Cotswolds have something for everyone whether you’re here for a romantic escape, a family adventure, or a well-deserved indulgence.

Hidden Gems & Heritage
Arguably the usual suspects are the beautiful market towns like Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway and Chipping Campden but, with the right guide and a little inside knowledge, there are plenty more sights to enjoy and experiences to have that will cater to every visitor.
The Cotswolds has many historical stories to tell. You may choose to wander around historic houses and gardens like Chastleton House, Blenheim Palace or Sudeley Castle, or down a glorious avenue of trees at Batsford or Westonbirt Arboretum. The Cotswolds countryside is never too far away from wherever you are, so you can enjoy the variety of outdoor leisure pursuits, as well as just rambling or cycling along at your own pace.
Family Fun
If you are looking to keep the kids entertained, then you will be excited to know that there is a lot of choice. There are fantastic animal attractions like Cotswold Farm Park, where your kids can hold and play with the animals, or Cotswold Wildlife Park where you can see Giraffe's, Rhino's, Lions and many other animals from around the world.
There is also a Cotswold stone model village in Bourton on the Water and it's definitely worth a trip on the Cotswolds heritage steam railway, which departs from Broadway to Cheltenham.

Explore, Eat & Enjoy
Of course, the Cotswolds isn’t all about postcard-perfect scenes. Lace up your boots and explore the Cotswold Way, a walking trail that threads through meadows, woodlands, and ridges dotted with grazing sheep. You’ll find farm shops filled with local cheeses, artisan ciders, and enough handmade fudge to justify “just one more walk.”
As-well as the picturesque villages there are the larger towns like Cheltenham, Cirencester, Tewkesbury, Stroud and Witney each with their on charm and personality adding culture and style.
Whatever you choose you will have a great day out and make some fantastic memories.

What our guests have said
“We had a lovely stay at Charlotte's. My husband and I travelled with our 2 year old and my mum and it was the perfect layout for us. Being close to the shops and restaurants made it easy to explore and there are lot of local kid-friendly attractions a short drive away. We'll be returning for sure!"
“This was a lovely property for a chilled weekend with my friends. We were really impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was as it meant we could cook a nice dinner with ease. We loved the location as there was a pub a few steps away and was in short driving distance to lots of attractions like Daylesford. My dog particularly enjoyed the walking routes from the town that took him to big fields to play fetch!”
“The perfect get-away for our family holiday in the perfect place. The house is located right in the centre of Stow on the Wold so all the gorgeous pubs and shops are just a stones throw away. The house was immaculate and had so many facilities. All rooms were a generous size and beds super comfy. The hosts even allowed us to check in a few hours early and we arrived to a fresh loaf of bread and milk in the fridge. 10/10 the perfect stay.”
